WHAT IS AN AIRLOCK?
AN AIRLOCK HAPPENS WHEN THE TUB HAS NOT BEEN FILLED THROUGH FILTER WELL, AIR WILL GET TRAPPED INSIDE THE PUMP. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE PUMP CAN’T PUSH OR PULL WATER, SO THE JETS DON’T WORK EVEN THOUGH YOU HEAR THE PUMP RUNNING.
✅ How To Tell If You Have An Airlock
You may have an airlock if:
- The pump runs but no water comes out of the jets
- You hear a humming sound but no water movement
- The control panel may show a “drY” or “DY” code
✅ How To Prevent An Airlock
Always fill the spa through the filter well!
Do not fill through the bottom of the tub. filling through the filter well pushes water into the pump first and helps avoid trapped air.
